Release Update: Spotify Sessions, Mainland and My Jerusalem
Grab the nearest pair of headphones. The first three of Jim Eno’s 2016 Spotify Sessions are out. These were recorded back in March during SXSW with Miike Snow, Ra Ra Riot and Empress Of. Check them out below, and share them with everyone you know.
The first release sees Swedish indie-pop trio Miike Snow performing new takes on songs “Genghis Khan,” “I Feel the Weight” and “Animal.” Like what you hear? Catch Miike Snow at ACL this year.
Ra Ra Riot
Next up are New York rockers Ra Ra Riot. The five-piece ran through songs “Foreign Lovers,” “Absolutely” and “Water.” The session was super fun and resulted in capturing these songs in truly different ways. Just check out the OP-1 and old Moogs used on “Water” if you need audible proof.
The most recently released Spotify Session comes from singer-songwriter Empress Of. Her takes on “How Do You Do It,” “Water Water” and “Standard” show why this soulful style of dance pop has staying power. You can catch Empress Of at Sound on Sound Fest later this year.
Stay tuned for the release of the remaining six of Jim’s Spotify Sessions, and in the meantime, read about the humbling week we spent recording with the nine artists here.

My Jerusalem Releases A Little Death
My Jerusalem aren’t strangers to our studio either. Jim recorded the Austin band’s album Preachers, and now the four-piece has released A Little Death. Enjoy. Jim did a good bit of recording and mixing on it.
